Multi-factor authentication

Post by Mhunter1993 »

Is there a way to apply a multi-factor authentication, for example: authenticating a mac address and then authenticating 802.1x credentials in order to assign a user network profile to a computer.

In my current configuration I have an 802.1x supplicant and non supplicant configuration, one authenticates credentials and in case of failure it goes to the captive portal. The non supplicant authenticates the MAC of the device and in case of failure it goes to the captive portal.

Is there a way to make it so that after one of the authenticate methods is successful, an other authentication method steps in?

search in docu for bypass. There is a possiblity to force the mac auth also for supplicants before going to supplicant auth (for white/blacklists).
