8232 personal phonebook

Post by venerota »

Good evening!

We have an ALE OXO (omniPCX S 2G) with some 8028s IP phone and Gigaset DECT (GAP).
I would to replace some Gigaset with ALE 8232 DECT for better performance withintegrated services (message box, central phonebook, etc..).
... so I've bought one 8232 and I've succesfully registered it on OMC and all goes fine...
but I've some trouble with two services on the DECT:
- after registering on OXO, CALL LOG menu from 8232 disappear
- I can use the central phonebook, but the personal phonebook is only up to 10 numbers, with max 6 char on contact name...

Is not possible for the user to store more numbers with more characters on contact name?
There is some thing to set on OMC?

thank to all!

Good morning!

It is strange that the call log disappears, we have several 8232 and it has never happened to us.
Have you tried resetting it to factory default? maybe it will work.

The manual states the following:
"Your directory can contain up to 12 numbers."
When you add a number, the name has to be 10 characters max.

you can check the manual at the following link:

Best regards,
as I know and working with 8232-8242 in OXO, they supported up to 10 Personal Directory number and it's really bothering our customers too.
