Random loss of PSTN tonality with no logging

Post by Perceval »

Hi !
Small problem running my OmniPCX R2.2 with a "standard" AMIX card to get the line from my PSTN.
I don't know why, but it would randomly lose the signal (busy tones on the phones, and external callers only have the classic ringtone, just like if the PBX wasn't connected), and I can't get any clue from the logs.

When I disconnect the trunk to direct connect some analog phones, tonality works great (both calling and get calls are fine). When I plug the trunk back, it works fine, but I have a global voicemail with the last caller id and the voicemail content is a long busy tonality tone.

I already changed several times the cable as I was suspecting this, it did work fine for a month and it's back again. I haven't cleaned the trunk port, but I don't think dust is the problem. It *may* look to happen every end/begining of the month.

Does anyone have a clue to look for in the logs, and check where/when/why the tonality is lost ?

Thanks a lot ! :)
