7750 SR-7 Licensing Question

Post by protocol »

Hello all. Just a quick question for you guys.

After many decades in the Cisco world I have decided to build a physical Nokia lab for my own learning. I will add some virtual routers also, but my question is about physical devices and licensing.

Say if I purchase a 7750 SR-7 chassis from one vendor and a SFM5-7/CPM5 from another - will I have to fight any sort of licensing hassle? IOM3-XP-C and a few supported MDA’s also. Nothing IOM4/5 series.

I just have a hard time finding any documentation about licensing requirements (if it’s IOM’s only, or feature based on the pre-FP4 hardware).

Thanks in advance!

Thanks, I appreciate it!

Licensing will apply with FP4 and higher (or is a license just for increased throughput) on that chipset?
