port mirroring/monitoring (on permanent basis)

Hi, all.

Is it possible to have enabled port monitoring session on omniswitch (OS9000E) on permanent basis ?
Security depart would like to see traffic from some ports for further analysis.

Are there any problems with such configuration.... or there is any official document about restrictions for using mirroring/monitoring ports on permanent basis ?

Port mirror can be permanent for monitoring, there are no issues with such a configuration.
