BBC2 ACCESS
BBC2 boards control VCCs used to transport the narrow band signaling and voice channels.
- Compressed voice channels are transported in ATM cells on AAL2 and are multiplexed or not,
- Narrow band signaling is transported through the ATM network by using the AAL5 services in a VCC.
The rate is 2 Mbit/s.
T0/T2 Access No.
Access identification No. (always 0).
Part
Selection via a menu:
This parameter shows if the BBC2 board is in User or Network mode with respect to the ATM switch. The parameter to be used is Network. User is used for testing.
Synchronisation Priority
YES: synchronization priority for the BBC2 board. Synchronization can be taken on the ATM link. The ATM cannot transport the synchronization (between 4400s).
ILMI Negotiation
This attribute must be set to NO.
YES: the ATM is built with the ILMI protocol.
Signalization Setting
YES: this attribute shows broadband signaling is established
NO: position to be used only for test requirements.
Flow Re-Negotiation
YES: the network provides rate re-negotiation, which allows rate to be optimized in the network by reusing silence cells (introduced by the VAD). Rate re-negotiation also allows the number of communications to be increased per VCC dynamically.
It is recommended to set to YES if there are several communications per VCC and to NO if there is only one.
This parameter must be set to NO (up to R4.1). Then, decision to be made.
