CLASSES
Classes are used to define a set of properties shared by a set of clients.
Some classes are preset in the system and cannot be deleted:
- TSC-IP: Alcatel-Lucent IP Phones
- INT-IP: INT boards
- IP
- PXE: PXE client (Appliance Server, iPack, etc.)
- CSE: second step in installing a Call Server
- eMGD: GD boards
Name
field cannot be empty
Vendor id
Class ID sent to the server by the client on a DHCP request. Field cannot be empty
TFTP server address
IP address of the TFTP server from which the client can download start-up files if necessary. This address is provided to the DHCP client by the server. It must be filled in if the TFTP server used is not the Call Server. If it is not filled in, the DHCP server will provide the appropriate address (physical address or by role) of the Call Server.
Default lease time (mn)
The lease time is the time during which the IP address is attributed. Negotiations are carried out between the client and the DHCP server. The default lease time is the time proposed if the client does not negotiate.
Special values :
-1: indicates infinite lease time (when applicable).
0 : indicates OXE default lease time (may depend on the class itself).
Restriction : Must never be higher than the value configured in Max lease time.
Max lease time (mn)
Maximum lease time accepted after DHCP negotiation (see the Default lease time attribute).
Special values :
-1: indicates infinite lease time.
0: indicates OXE default lease time (may depend on the class itself) .
Restriction : Must always be higher or equal to the value configured in Default lease time.
