PHONE FACILITIES CATEGORIES
The telephone service COS make it possible to:
- authorize or prohibit the access of sets to certain telephone facilities,
- protect sets against certain facilities,
- define the type of routing on going off-hook.
Tel.Facility Category ID
COS 0 to n can be managed.
The telephone features to which the subscribers have right can be used with the help of prefixes and suffixes, or functions using these prefixes or suffixes (see PREFIX PLAN, SUFFIX PLAN AND NUMBERING PLAN).
Phone COS Name

Rights
For each attribute: 0 for NO, 1 for YES, and % for any value.
Prot.against dir.call pickup
The subscriber is protected against call pick-ups by another set in the system.
Protected against all intrudes
A communication is permanently protected against intrusion if one of the two correspondents has this protection in their facility rights COS (even if it is a priority call).
Protected against set intrude
A communication is permanently protected against intrusion if one of the two correspondents has this protection in their facility rights COS (except if it is a priority call).
Outgoing calls only
An "outgoing calls only" set is protected against any incoming call whether simple or in enquiry call.
This protection does not count if this set belongs to a hunting group of sets (PBX) and if it is called by the number of the hunting group.
Forward to external No.
The subscriber of a set can forward his calls to an external number using a prefix followed by the call number. The number may be displayed on the set or on the system console. For this facility, it is necessary that the set and trunk COS authorize it.
Prot.against multi-l ringing
The over-ringing on a multi-line set is inhibited if there are several calls on the already busy set.
Protected against forwarding
The subscriber that has this protection cannot be the destination of a forwarding (function prohibited). This protection is only removed after the validation of the parameter in control; any forwarding carried out before this validation is operational.
Protected against beeps
A set can be permanently protected against any call which generates a beep during a current communication (camp on call on busy set, intrusion).
This function is particularly useful to protect a modem link (telefax, minitel ...).
Prot.against call announc.
This protection only concerns digital sets (40xx and 43xx). The ``call announcement'' suffix is without effect on the set of a subscriber who has this protection.
Remote wake-up/appointement

Auto call back on busy trk-grp
Transfer on no answer
The subscriber who has this protection is authorized to transfer on no answer (no answer = not going off-hook) or on busy.
If the transfer on no answer is not authorized, the initiator set rings again.
It is the facility rights COS of the set requesting the transfer which is taken into account.
ISDN remote charge service

Prot.against bypass onforward
This section makes it possible to prohibit the other subscribers from using the override function on one's set.
Interphony
A dedicated set (40xx and 43xx) can be put in interphone position by pushing the dedicated key. If so: when there is an incoming call, the set rings for 5 seconds (depend of the timer number 10) and then automatically passes into the hands-free position. Going on-hook is also automatic.
The user can define a personal list of correspondents associated to this function by Menu enhancements.
This facility is only in local call.

Alphapage
The subscriber has access to the ALPHAPAGE server.
Manual Hold
A user in ordinary external communication can intentionally put this communication on hold using the manual hold prefix in order to carry out non-telephonic work and then retrieve the external correspondent once this non-telephonic work has terminated.
This facility is systematically offered to agents in CCD communication.
It is not operational with multi-lines UA sets, attendant, S0 sets and A4040 sets.
Suffixes
For each attribute: 0 for NO, 1 for YES, and % for any value.
Broker Call
The subscriber that has a correspondent on line and another on hold can pass alternately from one to the other.
Three-Party conference
The three party conference is available for all sets which have the corresponding COS. At least one correspondent must be local.
Intrude
If his respective COS allow it, subscriber A can enter during the course of the conversation of subscriber B that he/she has called.
Ringback on free or busy set
Any subscriber calling a digital set (40xx and 43xx) which is busy, or free and is not answered, can request the automatic call back by dialling a suffix (automatic call-back on free/busy).
Waiting Camp-on
From a classic or digital set, when a busy, internal set is called, the subscriber dials the waiting camp-on suffix. The called party hears a communication camp-on signal. They can consult this camp-on by dialling the camp-on consultation suffix.
Loudspeaker paging
The subscriber is authorized to transmit a spoken message without a reply to digital sets which are equipped with a speaker.
Call announcement
The subscriber who has this privilege can force the answer of the called-party by merely pressing a key. This function involves an activation of the speaker on the called set ; the called party hears the voice of the caller, he may take the call.
Enquiry Call
During a communication, the subscriber can go into conversation with another correspondent (either to take a waiting call, or to call another correspondent) without losing the first communication.
Paging request
The subscriber can page his correspondent by using a suffix.
Business number
This feature makes it possible to:
- account for communication by business during the communication,
- change the business account code during the communication.
Decimal End To End Dialling
This service makes it possible to send Rotary dialling on a NDID line, when the COS respective to the subscriber and the trunk authorize it.
The subscriber can use a Rotary or DTMF set or a specific set.
The subscriber does the end-to-end signalling by using the enquiry call maneuver followed by the Rotary end-to-end signalling suffix.
DTMF End to End Dialling
This service makes it possible to send, on a NDD line, DTMF dialling, when the respective COS of the subscriber and of the trunk authorize it.
The subscriber can use a Rotary, or DTMF set or a specific set.
The subscriber does the end-to-end signalling using the enquiry call maneuver followed by the DTMF end-to-end signalling suffix.
Malicious Call
The subscriber dials a suffix during the communication in order to identify the origin of the malicious call.
Voice Mail Message Deposit
This service makes it possible to deposit messages directly into a subscriber's mailbox using the prefix followed by the directory number of the subscriber.
Camp On Control
While in conversation, the subscriber has the possibility to disable camp on.
If a call is already waiting when the suffix is dialed, this call remains waiting normally. The deactivation is applied to next calls.
Voice Mail Consultation
This facility enables you to directly consult the Voice Mail.
By pass on Do Not Distrub
This functionality concerns UA sets with soft keys (all UA sets except for the 4011 and 4012 models).
This allows the user calling a set in DND mode to force set ringing using a soft key.
Abbreviated Dialling Area
The subscriber of a set that has the right to one or several ranges 1 to 32 of abbreviated numbers (from 1 to 8 digits) can call the external correspondents that correspond to the contents of these ranges.
Each attribute is set (with 0 for NO, 1 for YES, and % for any value) for an outgoing abbreviated dialing area.
Voice Mail Forwarding
If the call of a set is forwarded onto an other set and the latter is in Voice Mail Forwarding:
- Ring final set : the ringing of the final set is forced (default position)
- Ring final set mail : the call is forwarded to the final set mail
- Ring called set mail: the call is forwarded to the mail of the first called set
Default Overflow Type
Default Overflow Adressee
With the default overflow type attribute, the set can be made to systematically overflow if no customized forward/overflow is already implemented on the set.
This default overflow occurs to the destination chosen destination in the attribute Destination by Default Overflow.
Quality Profile for Voice on IP
This attribute is used to apply the required QOS profile to the user during voice/IP communications (the same parameter is managed in the trunk groups):
- Always Voice/IP: when the possibility exists, calls from terminals of this type always use the IP links whatever the QOS of the link.
- Never Voice/IP: calls from terminals of this type never use the IP link whatever the QOS of the link.
- Profile1/2/3: if the possibility exists, calls from terminals of this type use the IP links if the QOS of the link is a minimum of 1/2/3 respectively. These profiles are used to adapt the quality to particular circumstances and are managed in the object SYSTEM - QUALITY PROFILE FOR VOICE ON IP.
Download policy
Download policy for new software or new data in the set. The aim is to specify here when the update of the sets in this category will take place. Keep in mind that in any case, the set must be free in telephone terms.
This attribute only applies to IP Touch TDM sets (UA)
The possible values are:
- Only on request:
the set is only downloaded on request by the administrator, using the 'downstat t' tool
- Before starting the application:
the set is downloaded as a priority (be careful not to assign this policy to all sets... Too many sets having priority removes the advantage of the priority)
- As soon as possible:
The set is downloaded as soon as possible.
- Delayed:
The downloading of the set can only start in the daily time slot (see the following attributes, Download start and Download stop.
Download start
Start time for the time slot [format hh:mm] (only relevant for the delayed downloading method)
Download stop
Stop time for the time slot [format hh:mm] (only relevant for the delayed downloading method)
Overflow onAssociate/Noreply Timer
"
When a set calls to another set, if associate set is managed on the called set, after the timer
TEMPSO call overflows to the associate set. TEMPSO is the timer, which is used to set the time of
ringing on main set before the call overflows to associate. Currently this timer is unique for the
system. This timer is also same for Forwarding on no reply feature.
This new parameter will be initialized with default value = 0. When starting TEMPSO timer, and if
value in Class of Service is different from 0, this value is used in place of system value. If this value
is 0,TEMPSO will be initialized with system value as previous. Minimum value for this time is 0 and
maximum value is 1500 in terms of 100 milliseconds. (i.e it is in between 0 and 150 seconds)."
Callpark Timer
If this Callpark timer value is greater than zero, then this timer value will be used for the call park feature instead of System timer 8. The adjustment of the timer is made by number of units of 100ms.
Calls Not Answered Storage Mode
Determines the way external and internal non answered calls are stored.
On Called Party: these calls are stored on initially called set (initially dialed number) even in case of forward to another set
On Final Party: these calls are stored on last ringing set in case of forwarding of initially called party
On Both: these calls are stored both on initially called set and last ringing one.
Note that forwarding includes manager calls screening by assistant.
