GATEKEEPER PARAMETERS
A gatekeeper number is allocated to each INTIP board that needs to work with a gatekeeper. The gatekeeper is defined here with its index number and own specific parameters.
Gatekeeper ID
Gatekeeper ID (also referenced in the INTIP Ethernet parameters).
Used
Gatekeeper Name
This name is used by the INTIP board for it to work with a gatekeeper with this name only (32 characters maximum).
WARNING :
For the modification of this attribute to be taken into account, all the gateways using this gatekeeper need to be reset manually.
Gatekeeper IP Address
Gatekeeper IP address.
WARNING :
For the modification of this attribute to be taken into account, all the gateways using this gatekeeper need to be reset manually.
Gatekeeper Without RAS
YES: the Gatekeeper to be used is a dedicated Equant gatekeeper
Specific equipment can support a gatekeeper function without using the RAS protocol.
It will then be seen as a gateway. Instead of sending the messages to the distant GW, the local gateway must send the messages to the GW with the GK functionality. This GW/GK will route the messages to the distant GW.
The switching from the active GK to an alternate GK will in this case not be done by use of the RAS protocol messages, but by a non response of the GW/GK on the TCP level.
WARNING :
For the modification of this attribute to be taken into account, all the gateways using this gatekeeper need to be reset manually.
Alternative GK IP address
Back-up gatekeeper IP address if the primary gatekeeper does not respond.
WARNING :
For the modification of this attribute to be taken into account, all the gateways using this gatekeeper need to be reset manually.
