NETWORK DDI TRANSLATION
The DDI TRANSLATOR NETWORK operates with NETWORK ACCESS PREFIXES ;it makes it possible to adapt the DDI public numbers of the remote networks to the internal numbering plan:
By overflowing onto the public network, the private calls can therefore be transformed into DDI calls.
This latter case will only occur if the corresponding caller's right is set to YES (See TELEPHONE OPERATIONS COS : Private overflow to public )
The DDI translator is managed node by node.
First External Number
The first external number of the range is the smallest number of the range of DDI numbers provided by the public operator.
Example:
Directory numbers reserved by the public operator : 9600 to 9699
First external number of the range : 9600
First Internal Number
The first internal number of the range is the smallest number of the managed node numbering plan from which the DDI calls are authorized.
Example :
First internal number of the range used for local dialing ; introduce 400 ( see example in the attribute "Range Size").
Range Size
This concerns the number of contiguous DDI numbers decoded for this node.
Example:
Directory numbers reserved by the public operator: 9600 to 9699
First external number of the range : introduce 9600
Range size : 100.
Unique Internal Number
YES: all the numbers received which correspond to this range are translated as a single number: the first in the internal range.
