Windows terminal Server TAPI 2.1

Hi all,

is TAPI 2.1 on serveral Windows Terminal Server possible? My Customer has 2 WTS.
I've license and have installed Alcatel TAPI 2.1 (Build 231) on an W2000 File-Server and it's running. PIMphony Clients works. But how can I connect the 2 WTS Server.
My Customer wants to use for calls the "DATEV Telephone Manager" (tax counsel). On this Application i can't see the Line (Alcatel TaPI Driver), only standard lines.

With one WTS and instalation on the same Server its no problem but many customers with >10 users have more than one WTS.

Can somone help me? My Alcatel Distributor is helplessly,

Hello,

you have to install the "TAPI 2.1-Server" on both WTS-machines. Be sure that you have enough TAPI-2.1-Sessions on your OXO (the two WTS-machines uses 2 sessions).

So it should be no problem to use more than 1 WTS.

Hi Oxo-Man,

I must install the TAPI Server on all WTS? That cannot be. For example, if a customer has 80 TAPI users and 6 WTS, so I need 480 Licenses? No way.
I've heard about Remote TAPI (tcmsetup /c servername). Does anybody heard about this?

Hello,

in this case (6x WTS) you need only 6x TAPI-Sessions. Each server will use only 1 session.

On the user hand you need enough monitorings on the oxo to monitor the 80 user (for example 1x session for the server and 80 monitorings to monitor the status of the 80 user).

So, two Windows Terminal Servers works, I`ve installed on both WTS TAPI 2.1.
But i think it`s a hard job if using more WTS. On every WTS it must be assign the lines and users.
That´s not fine
