sip alerting delay

Post by mgsox »

hi all
i have an oxe r11.2 connected through sip trunk with otcs.
when a call is routed to otcs the caller hears a ring back tone with 10sec delay, from one alert to another.
does any one know witch timer is the alert timer?
or how can i configure oxe to generate that tone?

thanks
cavagnaro

10 secs? Then the ringing event is taking a while to appear. Check your sip logs to understand why

from sip trace I see that otcs sends 202 accepted instead of 180 ringing. do you think I can generate the ring back tone from oxe ?

202 Accepted
Indicates that the request has been accepted for processing, but the processing has not been completed

at least otuc should send 183 code !
what are the other infos associeted to 202 code?!
what's the trace at otuc side

It should. Some settings must be different.
Check your external gateway and sip trunk parameters
