Post by slaskaridis »

Hi
i am trying to upgrade firmware on some wireless devics 8158s in the network.
I have downloaded the appropritate firmware file.
How can I use OXO as the TFTP server to upgrade the devices?

Hi,
On these models, it should be done automatically (it did it on my setup, it does it on Connect R2.0+ or R10.3 and previous versions, as stated in the doc), since your 8158s needs to connect to your OXO, which is the TFTP server (otherwise, you'd get the error "no response from the TFTP server").
You can check if everything is fine by aborting the phone boot process to check if the TFTP server is address correct.
I don't think you need to change anything in Oxo Connect, but there's a Download item (sorry, I have the French version so I can't tell you eaxctly what's written, it's a yellow "bean" with a white arrow on the top left), where there's a "Download terminal" thing you can use, then a instant download force the 8xxx phones to update.
I didn't have to download anything on the Oxo.

Hope this helps !

In OMC, it's "Sauvegarde des données & Basculement" >> "Téléchargement des terminaux" >> "Téléchargement immédiat" (OK).

When I was trying to manually upgrade my 8078s, the OXO did it for me. Nice !
If it does not work, try to remove the battery to force-reconnect the phone, I don't think there's more to do...
