OV2500 Third-Party Device and MIB List

Post by valsnow »

Hello,

I would like to centralize the monitoring of my devices on Omnivista. I have many Omniswitch and a few Cisco.

While SNMP works fine for all alcatel devices, I can't decode the OID received from Cisco devices.

I have :
- Created a new MIBset List "Cisco_MIB"
- Imported around 1432 .mib files in it
- Associated the mib to my devices.

Yet, the OID received are not translated and stay in "1.3.6.1.etc" format while I am sure the OID are listed in the MIB files imported.

I checked the server.txt logs :
Jul 4, 2022 3:26:13 pm[ERROR] :[In StdUpdaterUpDown, switch 192.168.x.x]: 192.168.x.x: mibset: Cisco_MIB: VariableName not found in MIBs: sysUpTime. 192.168.x.x: [sysUpTime].

But I can't find anything to fix this.

Any clues?

Thanks,

you should open a ticket at ALE.
I have seen the same at customers too and didn't find a solution by myself.
