OmniPCX Office hung problem.

Post by Piotrek_DUP »

Hi Everybody,
I have Alcatel OmniPCX Office (196 nr) with soft. 3.1_052 and HDD (Auto Attendant).
CPU is hung sometimes (about once peer week) and only warm reset help to work proparly again.
I changed the CPU (RAM, HDD and BOARD) but nothing help, I even changed back-up and write program to the PBX from ground zero (but still this same problem).
From my distribue I heard that 3.1 is not supported by Alcatel and I must make upgrade to R6 to can have their help.

Is there any other solution to repair this problem and don't buy upgrade?

Yesterday I have a new alarms in my history table:

1. The Cabinet has been unplugged Phys.Addr. 52#1
2. The board has been unplugged Phys.Addr. 15#1
3. The board has been unplugged Phys.Addr. 16#1
4. The board has been unplugged Phys.Addr. 17#1
5. The board has been unplugged Phys.Addr. 18#1
6. The main power supply Phys.Addr. 52#1
7. Board is now operational
8. Device accepted
................

What's that meen? No one makes restart of PBX and even was in work because it was Sunday. It wasn't a power problem because I have UPS before PBX.

I have second OXO with similar configuration and it have same problem like this.
I changed in OXO's soft from 3.1_020 to 3.1_052 in friday but do you think that it was a software problem?
Please tell me what it could be? Or what can I try to make to repair it?

Sorry for my english.

Regards

Check
1. Ground connection
2. Fan operation
3. Place where the system is connect, it may have air entrance, when the system have high temp. the system restarts.

i hope this could help.

Thanks for reply.

The PBX is in air conditioning room and has ground connection. Fun status are "on" in all cabinets.
Configuration is in one configured at order:
Main Cabinet:
CPU, 1. UAI16-1, 2. UAI8, 3. SLI16-1, 4. SLI16-1, 5,6 - No Board, 7. PRA-T2. 8. NoBoard
Extension Cabinet 1
MEX, 11. UAI16-1, 12.UAI16-1, 13. SLI16-1, 14. SLI16-1, 15. No Board, 16. APA8, 17. SLI16-1, 18. PRA-T2
Extension Cabinet 2
MEX 21. UAI16-1, 22. UAI16-1, 23. SLI16-1, 24. UAI16-1, 25. No Board.

I'm not sure that you are allowed to put SLI16 on positions 16 and 17 (as I remember it should be placed on a position from 1 to 5 on L cabinet, that is 11 to 15 for the second cabinet). Maybe this is your problem: a power budget problem. You have alarms on those 2 boars.
Try relocate them. Check System Doc for proper slot location.

you can use the SLI 16 boards in the slot 5-8, 15-18, 25-28. (we have problems with the UAI16 and MIX boards in that slots).

But please put the PRA2 card from the Extension Cabinet 1 to the main cabinet, because there are some problems with the syncro over the HSL link. (If you create a new ACTIS callculation, it put the booth PRA board into the first cabinet).

I think this isn't solve your problem :( but try it...
(The PRA card is hot-plug in release 3. So just put it to the main cabinet, set up the B channels in the External Access / List of Access/ Details, and put it to the right trunk group.)
