Can't change operator password

Post by Avi1 »

Hi Guys,

i recently installed 2 new OXOs CPU-3m - R610_007.002 (CE and L) and on each one i got the same situation:

- Flashed newest Release with lola
- programmed the users
- when i try to change the operator password on the Advanced OR 4039 device i get the following error "Funktion unzul." (german).

A warm reset didn't help !

I didn't try to do a cold reset because the machines had to run immidiately.

Yesterday i got an idea: Installed OMC in EASY-Mode and tried to change the operator password. This was the only way to change it. Now everything is running without any problems.

Did someone had the same error ? Can someone reproduce it ? Is it a new bug ?

Just tried it on a cpu-2 running R610/007.002 (Australian) with a 4068 & a 4035 without any issues, it may be a bug in the country version that you use.
When I was a boy of fourteen, my father was so ignorant I could hardly stand to have the old man around.
But when I got to be twenty-one, I was astonished at how much the old man had learned in seven years.

Hi, I have experienced the same problem, following an upgrade. I found the only cure was to cold reset and re-program the database manually.

I created a SR on the BPWS, and get the answer that this is a known bug, and will be fixed in R610/011.001. (Not yet released)

Hi Avi1

How can I get in Easy Mode on OMC 6.1?

When you have installed only ONE Version of PM5 / OMC on your pc, you have to rename the "Expert.dll" and the "Easyplus.dll" in your OMC / BIN / Directory.

When you have installed more versions or older versions, then you have to rename ALL Expert.dll and Easyplus.dll files on your PC !!!!

Just rename them to some other names. I prefer "Easyplus.dll.bak" and "Expert.dll.bak"

Why so difficult? In PM5/OMC in initial state (when you don't connected to OXO) go "View/ Easy View". After that - connect to your system.
