Conference on 2lines Panasonic analog phone

Post by Vnbadiger »

Hello
I have recent install Omnipcx 4400, earilier the same client was using 4200 pcx of alcatel.
They are using Panasonics dual line analog set, on that they have one analog extn. and on other line an analog trunk line directly connected on their set.During conversation if they want to have conf with internal party or external party, they used press the conf. key on the set dial the number have conference between them.( This was happening on 4200 pbx)
When upgraded to 4400,I can put the parties in conf. but the speech bet. all three party is not happening is their any parameter to modified so that I will be able do so.
As far I feel, if this kind of facilities happen on 4200 switch then definitly it should happen on 4400 switch.
All suggestion and views are welcome but do reply.

Thank you

Ok.
Then for the 3 partis conferences, you need a GPA board I think ?
I don't even know those stuff by heart now, almost all systems come with a GPA and the 3-parties-conf works anyway :-)

So, do you have a GPA board ?

No way.
By default, 3-way conference is supported on any DHS3 interface - due to UA -3B+D interface. That means no additional equipment is needed.
You need GPA (or GPA2) for casual conference (6+) or for 29-parties confrerence(master conference)
This case mainly concerns Panasonic - it's his job to "bridge" thi interfaces.
