Enable DTMF function at Attendant set

Post by jupiter919 »

Hi all,

The operator console was unable to use the DTMF function with 4035T console set. Is that any setting i may apply the DTMF to true or false ?
I m understand operator was unable to do direct external forwarding.Thank you.

Hello.

Look at the keys of the operator. There shuold be a key call "Services" or something like that. Them you press this key, will appear on the screen the DTMF or MF on TONOS on the dinamic keys.

Let me know if you could makeit work.

Regards

After using DTMF function in order to be able to transfer the call he/she must disable DTMF function.

Edit: How do I add a service key if one does not exist?

Yes.

When you configure the 4035 Set as attendant, you have, by default the key 17 is day / night service and the key 18 is the "Services" key.

When you press the "Services" key, them you will have on the dynamics keys on the screen the feature Tones or MF or DTMF.

Note. If are nor the 17 and 18 keys, try 15 or 16.

I do not see a services key programmed on my 4035 attendant console. When I try to program one here are the options for keys I get:
Directory No Supervision
Speed Dialing Number
Individual Routing
Network/Network Transfer
Trunk Group Supervision
O/S Trunk Supervision
Individual Hold
Call Presentation
Programmable
Transfer with privilege
Trunk Group Present. and Superv.
Trunk Group Menu

How do I program a services key?

You dont have to program any service key. As soon as you declare the 4035 set as attendant, this keys are already configure by default.

So, after the attendant configuration just press the keys 17 and 18 or 15 and 16, as I said before.

I figured I would be able to see it programmed under a key so I figured it was not there. I will check it

I found the services key. I am able to make calls outside of the Alcatel system and utilize the DTMF tones. However, if I call an internal extension and try to use DTMF signalling the call is dropped immediately after I make a selection. The selection is recognized by the PCX and the call begins to transfer to the option selected, but immediately after the transfer to another extension takes place the call is disconnected. Is this normal?
