Hi All,
I have A4400 4.1 with CPU disk duplication. For accounting I use Omnivista 4760 2.0. I was just wondering what kind of backup should I make to ensure service continuity?
So far I made only MAO data backup on floppy drive. I have recently discovered that there is a scheduled backup with swinst utility of MAO Data and Chorus data (what exactly this one contains?) on CPU disk, but I guess it’s not enough....
Does the disk duplication ensure that in case of main cpu/disk failure the second one will overtake and will contain the same data and configuration?
Thanks for any hints.

Hi !
Don t know if 4760 2.0 has the backup features.. You can give it a shot. It's on the last menu on the left (maintenance), and there is a submenu backup.
If not, just have another machine ftp to the main cpu ip address, using your mtcl login and password, then go to folder /usr4/BACKUP/DAY , and you'll find the daily backup.

Hi Frank,
thanks for the hint, I found this option in Omnivista. So now it transfers mao-dat and chorus-dat to server, where Omnivista is installed. I also back up Omnivista database, so tickets should also be safe. Is it enough or should I back up something more? What about voice guides for example? In swinst utility I can choose only mao for rebuild and chorus in periodic save operations...
and I'm still curious about the behaviour of stand-by cpu: Does the disk duplication ensure that in case of main cpu/disk failure the second one will overtake and will contain the same data and configuration?
