4635 System Restore Docs?

Anyone have any documentation on how to do a system restore? System is up and running just need to re-install the database (sbr.sbz). Do I just use the sbr.sbz file and do a system restore through the PCX swinst menu or do I need to do something else like ftp to the VM?

Hi, you can also restore from swinst using the backup made under immed backup operations. I use this when upgrading from 4635 to vpu5 for customers.
1: backup voice mail in swinst. ( make sure ip config is done in voicemail for cpu address)
2: install new voicemail and when booting at the stage where it waits for 3 mins to give you options like init system/ boot etc, select Ctl D + S this takes you to a sub menu. you need to enter in the ip addresses etc then you can select restore. you will be prompted to go to the restore menu in swinst and select the voicemail.
3: reboot voicemail
4: setup ip addresses in vm
finished

Hope this gives you another option. no need for the sbz files or ftp for this methord.
