Re: Manuals AP 85
Hi !!!!.
I found some documentation, but for my surprise, the AP85 seems to be diferent than AP80. I was try to build a bridge betwen 2 points (i use 2 AP80 before for another bridge). The documentation of AP85 shows that one must is the conectivity with the controller. The AP 80 no need that connectivity.
How can i configure one pair of ap85 tu build a bridge betwen 2 points? (stand alone mode)
thanks !!!!!!!!

Re: Manuals AP 85
Hi,
there are two different AP80: AP80M and AP80MB/SB
The first one is a thin AP for using with a OAW-Controller. The second one are the fat AP for standalone (with webUI).
AP85 are also a thin AP - you need a controller (oaw4302 is the smallest). For a bridge with two AP85 you need at the OAW a licence for outdoor-meshing (MAP) for two APs.

Re: Manuals AP 85
thanks silvio for the answer,
we know now that the AP 85 does not work in our link plans.
The problem is that ALCATEL-LUCENT WLAN or "ARUBA" (jejeje) do not have any solution for point to point links without controllers.
do you know another solution with fat APs??

Re: Manuals AP 85
Its quite obvious that a controller based solution needs a controller ....
If you want to build a bridge with radio equipment you can contact the RFS division of Alcatel-Lucent.

Re: Manuals AP 85
The AP-80MB and AP-80SB are still available in WWPL (look into spare products).
If you need more then a bridge - f.e. of one site also a wlan for clients - than you should use the controller with thin AP's and mesh. This is a greatly solution
