Got 4645 working on a 3rd Appliance Server

Post by johank_DUP »

Good day,

Recently installed R8.0.1 g1.503.17.b on 2 Appliance Servers. (Dual Cpu's hooked up to GD/Media Gateway) Client wanted 4645 running on its own. The Manual was not very clear to me so I hope I can simplify it for you.

Once main CPU's have been loaded and booted up with the correct OPS and "xm" (main ip adress) managed, load the 3rd Appliance server with the same software. Create a blank database and allocate an ip@ and name. (eg. eva_cpu = 10.1.1.4). The network and node do not matter. I used network 1, node 1.

Make sure this name and ip (eva_cpu, 10.1.1.4) is added to your host table on both cpu's (Option 9 in netadmin -m)
Also add your "xa", "xb" and "xm" (main ip adress) to the host table on eva_cpu.

And Reboot "eva_cpu" (Autostart = OFF)

Ok, once "eva_cpu" is up again (ping 10.1.1.4 to test) create your 4645 voicemail under applications > voicemail
Eg.
voicemail dir no : 4555
directory name : VoiceMail
voicemail type : 4645
server number : 1
voicemail cpu name : 10.1.1.4

After "command suceeded" switch Autostart=ON on "eva_cpu" and reboot.

Note: DO NOT RUN "RUNTEL" on eva_cpu
