Distribution List - Hotel Enviorment

I have a 4635 system where I have created a Type 6 distribtion list. The problem is whenever a guest checks out it is automatically removed from the distribution list. When a new guest checks in to the same unit, they are not added to the distribtion list. Any help would be appreciated.

Correct operation, when you check someone out it will delete the mailbox and then delete out of Distribution list.

Thanks for the reply. Is there any way around that? Can I do an adminstrative broadcast to any mailboxes that are checked in at the time?

So then is there a way to broadcast a message in a hotel environment?
i.e. emergency message to all checked in guest.
note: analog phones in guest rooms

Hi everyone,
Today a customer ask me the same feature. In this case the PBX is OXE R6.1.1 with 4635J voice mail.
They need to broadcast information in all occupied rooms, like promote activities, restaurants, etc.

Unfortunately you cannot create distribution list in a hotel application because the mailbox is not always created (unoccupied room). It has been suggested to request to R&D for a future release perhaps.
