Caller ID Disable... Caller ID Passthrough?

Post by haydenk »

Ok.. this may not be the right place to post this, but here goes:

1. We have a few users who need to be able to block their outgoing caller ID information (Like a regular telco *67 command). We already mask out the DID numbers to our main direct dial number. How can we either set these users to block, or program a key to enable the feature?

2. We have an employee who is off-site. We forward all calls to his DID and his extension to his off-site phone. Is there any way to pass-through the Caller ID information from the external callers? Internal doesn't matter...

Ex: Our main line is 555-5000.
Off-site employee is 555-5010.
Outside caller at 222-2222 calls 555-5010.
Call gets forwarded to 999-9999, Caller ID reports 555-5000.

Anyone? Please? Help us... we're trapped under the oppressive thumb of a money hungry monster named Verizon.

Thanks!

I would tell you how to do it, but I don't want this forum to be for people who do not read the documentation. The documentation is FULL of good tricks.

So, not being rude.. Download it if you don't have it, and look for secret id for your question number 1.

For your question number 2, go under system / other system parameters / external signaling parameters, and change "NPD for external forward".
