 wow that's quite a lot.
OXE is not quite flexible to trace for a certain number.
Of course, t3 will not work for R2/MFC.
In such case you should co-operate with PTT guys (anyway, you should be like that with guys from PTT;)).
Public exchanges are much more flexible fot certain channel tracings. Usially they have specific settings for tracing calling/called numbers. Ask them to provide you with trace for a call from certain intl. number to certain PBX number.
Meanwhile, can you post here or PM me the trunk category listing?
If it looks like a duck, swims like a duck, and quacks like a duck, then it probably is a duck.

Actually we have already raised the issue with PTT but they are not co-operative at all and what they responded to our request is as i have already mentioned like this

"KFUPM should modify their PBX so that even if it receives A-number category=7 (International #) it may continue to ask for the A-numbers, however there is catch in this that some countries do not send the A-numbers so calls from them may fail to terminate at KFUPM unless KFUPM PBX could also make more modifications for such calls without A-number to be accepted and not rejected.""

Anyway, i will send you our incoming trunk caregory setting which is cat-28.

So back to the basics, have you done a T3 traces and look at the incoming number ?
Unless if I missed it somewhere in your post..

Hmm. May be a protocol tester is available somewhere?
It is not a good idea to start R2 trace in a runnung system with 150 incoming trunks...
If it looks like a duck, swims like a duck, and quacks like a duck, then it probably is a duck.

Actually The PTT guys made a trace on our trunk and informed us that "Alcatel should modify their PBX so that even if it receives A-number category=7 (International #) it may continue to ask for the A-numbers". As they told us that our system is not sending request to get the incoming caller id signal (A signals) after the caller send us A number catg-7(internation/external) siglan. Which paremeter we should check or modify??

Actually it's not clear what they mean. So what Alcatel is sending in that case - "sbs free" or what? Could they provide this trace?

Please see the report/trace below which we ( KFUPM) got from the PTT ( Which is STC ) people Regarding incoming calls identity to us from external caller (Mobily,or any international).

It is clear problem from PBX side when STC send 7 he should keep asking the A-No. by sending 5

Its need to change from PBX side.

.----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Call from Mobily to other PBX in Jeddah, the PBX continues asking for A-No. by send 5 until A-No is completed. (in the case A-No. is appeared)

ADDRESS SIGNALS:

RCV: 1 1 1 5 5 5 5 5 5 5 5 5

SND: 6 2 4 3 7 5 4 10 6 6 6 10

RCV: 5 5 3 6

SND: 2 7 15 7

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Call from Mobily to KFUMP DID, A-No is Mobily, KFUMP asking FOR A-NO. one time only by sending 5 then STC send 7 then KFUMP SEND 3 address completed.

ADDRESS SIGNALS:

RCV: 1 1 1 5 3 6

SND: 4 3 2 3 7 7

Call from STC Network to KFUMP DID, the A-No= 26496231

ADDRESS SIGNALS:

RCV: 1 1 1 5 5 5 5 5 5 5 5 5

SND: 3 8 1 10 1 2 6 4 9 6 2 3

RCV: 5 3 6

SND: 1 15 1

This KFUPM connected with KHB3-SN via DID/DOD TG#470 and 370. I took trace on this TG and found calls without A-# being answered successfully. Upon comparison found that calls from Zain/Mobily/International all send signal 7 (see in trace below) in response for the A-number category request from KFUPM (digit 5 sent by them). Their pbx, on seeing this 7 ( meaning International subscriber call) doesn’t ask for the A-number and connects to the B-subscriber in KFUPM. As can be seen below that, in comparison, calls coming from STC subscribers respond to the A-number request by sending digit 1 (Normal subscriber) and their pbx continue asking for remaining digits and after all digits received, it connects to the subscriber in KFUPM.
