4760 web interface

Post by bbocjcp »

I have an OXE system and I'm using the 4760 GUI to manage it, and I see from the 4760 documentation that there is a web interface for it.

I normally use Mozilla as web browser, and I've tried using IE too, but it seems pretty inconsistent, mainly because of the Java requirements.

Has anyone had any success with using the web interface yet ?

Hi !

I did, and I am using Mozilla on Win2K.
When you login into the page, you have to do all 3 links one by one on the left... Which I don t remember because I don t have an enterprise next to me. But just do the java installation (if you have another one, uninstall it), and then click on the 2nd link on the left, and then on the 3rd , and then you will be able to log in ..

Ciao

OK, thanks, I'll have a go. Although I'm using a W2K machine with mozilla on my desktop, I use a Mandrake 10.0 linux system to manage the network systems. Then I use Xwindows to fire the web browser back to my PC so I suspect it won't be terribly simple.

Looks like I could be in for some work here, I installed firefox on my Mandrake linux machine, and then added the Sun Java runtime environment.

The autoinstaller links on the 4760 management web interface only apply to a microsoft windows environment, not a real (X) windows environment.

Trying to go straight into the management link fired up the applet, but then complained about a java security problem.

I'm a network and IP phone guy, but it loks like I'm going to have to learn something about Java now.

Hi !

I tried on RedHat, using Mozilla / FIrefox and it did not work because the Java installation is for Windows. Actually, I did not do it, but I am pretty sure that if you install the same release version for linux, it can work.
