You should first run netadmin to set the correct ip-address.
If this is done, vmware will support FTP like normal.

You can start an ftp session to /usr4/BACKUP/OPS
Copy the OPS files to this directory
Restore the OPS files using swinst menu

hi

Thanks for your reply. But could not. My IP defined as follows;

Xa000000 standcpu localhost 192.168.232.2
127.0.0.1 loopback
255.255.255.0 SubnetMask
192.168.232.3 xma000000 maincpu node000000 localmain
192.168.232.1 Vmware defaultrouter (VMware VMNET IP)

Do you wonder where I'm wrong. I can not ping this IP. therefore I can not connect. How do IP descriptions. Thanks

First you have to be able to reach the server. What IP address are you using?

You may have to change the network settings for the Virtual Machine to 'Bridged' to permit access to the network so that you can FTP to the box...

Use "bridged" in Vmware. You have to activate your real ethernet interface. Then put an adresse in the "oxe virtual" network (look netadmin). Try a ping whith your PC, then you can FTP. Enjoy

select "custom: specified virtual network"-"VMnet8(NAT)" instead of "bridged" allow me FTP normally..
