Twin functionality not working correct

Post by Avi1 »

HI and good morning,

We have a big problem with the Twin function in our OXO Systems.

I can remember that when we had 2 devices in a TWIN-Set, it didn't matter which one was busy, the other one was also signaled busy.

But since the new Version in Rel. 410 and also in Rel. 510 this function doesn't work like this anymore.

When i put 2 UAs in a Twin-Set and i make a call with the first one, the second set is signaled busy, but when i make a call with the second one, the first one seems to be free. When i try to call the first one during the second one is busy, i get a busy signal. That is OK, but it is not signaled to be busy on the "Local call" key of an UA set.

I think this is a bug, and it worked in former releases.
Is there a way to get the function back in some ways ? Can i change some settings i haven't thought about yet ?

Thanks in advance

I think also its a bug but Alcatel dont agrees with me.
I get the answer "Its a normal system behavior"

But maybe in next releases.....

Normal behavior

The way twinsets should work (accourding to the expert docs)

If you have ext 220 as main and 320 as secondary than 320 will follow ringing and busy IF 220 is called. If 220 is busy and you call 320 it should ring. This would be normal behavior.

Why? 320 is still an extension number. Only if you call 220 it will follow the twinset rules.
