Strange, I have installed oxe on vmware for some tests in lab, it's working well for the tests. Nothing password was changed.

the one moment - you can use V24 connection and login root. If you use telnet - connect with mtcl account, after use "su" command. (you can use root account via IP if used "security" connection - ssh).
