Manually Convert from WAV or MP3 to VG or greeting guide?

Post by elektra »

Hello,

AAC can not order by ACTIS.
So I want a way to manual, converts.
Is the right, or are there better ways or alternatives ?(Linux & Windows)

Audio formats: (wav)
- 8kHz
- 8bit
- mono
- A-law

Can I create a file with the tool SOX?

Code: Select all

sox <Ansage>. pcm-r 8000 -c1 <ansage>. wav resample-ql #<-- is this right?

Path of the VG: "/usr7/vg/dhs/<name the VG>"
e.g. VG 712 = 689_689 ^ (^ = active)

VG must have an appropriate CRC. This is done when it crcvg.
There seems to be the UNIX tool "crcvg", but you can download it anywhere anymore.
Alternative for download or for crcvg?

Hello

the programm is called AAS.To put VG it in the oxe you have to make a project and and msk file with that programm.
Contact your distributor to provide you with this software .is the only secure and right way to do it.

AAS could be ordered by Part Number, there is a TC about it.
the tool you named was a Unix R&D tool, that some guys had it, some use it, but it not always worked. The CRC is some strange variation on 24 bit CRC.
Tried to figure out it, but well, AAS is much more cheaper than spending half year just to figure CRC algorithm.
This file is big and it's just one file? ask some one to convert it for you.

Hello, I'am not sure if I understood what you want to do, but, If you want to change files mp3, wm or wav to a wav files format used by 4400/OXE, I didit with Goldwave. With GoldWave:
1) Open a valid wav file (with alcatel format)
2) Erase al the content of the file (sounds). It will erase the information of the file and will keep the 4400/OXE format sound formats.
3) Open (in another windows) the mp3 files (for example) that you want to convert to 4400/OXE format.
4) Copy the content of the mp3 file and pasted on the firts opened wav file (the open file at step 1)
5) Save the file with the name you want to.
6) And thats all, Now you will have the mp3 file converted to valid wav 4400/OXE file without loose quallity.

I hope it helps.

Regards

AFlores
