SLI failure

Post by flaplataing »

I have an omnipcx office, with an analog card interface SLI (16 ports) and 4 of them are out of service. I have ring tone, but no line signal. I saw it has
an IC L3235N, but, does anybody know what can it be?

Do you have licence for all your analog users? Are your users defined on those 4 ports?

Yes, they were working for 2 years. Suddenly, I don't have battery voltage at ports 5 - 8 (no current, no tone signal...), but I do have ring voltage. So, all damaged ports are from the same daughter board of the SLI 16 board.

Do you have another SLI16? Try to swisch them and see the result. You must isolate the cause of your problem (software config, short on cabling, damaged ports , etc), See in PM5 if you can put these ports in service by unticking out of serv box.
Good luck.

I switched the SLI board, but the failure is still in the same board. So, it´s not a config problem, and the backplane seems to work ok. So, I think the ports are damaged....do i have anything to do with the card or the only thing to do is to buy a new one?

Oh, yes, i´ve checked them. Also, I connected a phone directly to the board, and i had no battery voltage. So, I think it may be some hardware failure, and i guest if it cuold be any IC or transistor. But, why all ports from the same daughter card have the same problem?

Yes, I tried. I switched the boards. The faulty board was on slot 1 and i tried it on slot 4. The problem is now on slot 4.

OH.. if the problem of voltage follows the board, RMA it.
Something must be bad
