V24 MOXA BOX ISSUE

having and issue getting a moxo box working

I have went into system > remote 24 box > created

Moxa nport server lite
192.168.254.18
4 ports

I have then checked V24 ports>

4 virtual ports have been created :

/dev/rv24/bltty1(45)
/dev/rv24/bltty1(46)
/dev/rv24/bltty1(47)
/dev/rv24/bltty1(48)

I have modified the ports with the following setup :

9600,8,N,1 –xon/off disabled and no hardware

Application set as “none” for port 45 and “login” for 46-48

The ports on the moxa box have been configured accordingly and the device given an ip address of 192.168.254.18

Application>accounting> external accounting set and ticketing set to V24

To test I set the v24 port to “0” the console v24 port and call accounting data came out – proving the application is working.

If is set it so it goes to 45-48 nothing comes out of the port.

I have checked all the tech notes ref the moxa and the only tests it states are the following :

Make sure that /usr/etc/moxatty/moxattyd –t 1 is working under ps –ef – Confirmed ok

I applied settings of the remote v24 box under system within the OXE
I did this and the following error appeared in invisu –

21/06/11 18:18:52 000001M|---/--/-/---|=3:1467=Fail to configure Moxa 192.168.254.18 (3)

Fault 1466 apparently is confirmation that the configuration of the Moxa is ok

I can ping the moxa box and I can telnet it.

Any help would be grateful.

Maybe you could try :
- telnet 192.168.254.18 (option 1);
- Go to OP_mode;
- Change Application to TCP Server for all ports;
- Select for more setting -> TCP port wanted and IP@ of moxa box

hi i logged onto my moxo
option 4 - operating settings
selected port 1
changed option 1 (operating mode to TCP Server)
applied then copied to all ports
still no joy.

I didnt understand you last bit about "Select for more settings > TCP port wand and ip@ of moxa box - where is that in the setup exactly ?

I have MOXA Nport Server Lite V3.1

under "OP_mode" menu i have "Application" (where i select connection type - eg TCP Server)
and i have "More settings" (where i can select TCP port abs destination IP addr)

Maybe your version of MOXA isn't the same
