Has anybody tried extracting tickets(archz files) of an OXE system by loading the mao-acc file in a dummy system and synchronising it with a dummy Omnivista server?
I am able to do d synchronising but not the ticket loading part!
Please advise..
Extracting tickets
Re: Extracting tickets
Hi mia,
I assume you had performed a successful complete synchronization but the tickets (TAXA files) were not downloaded. In this case, you can validate the following:
On Directory module/System tab/(your PCX registration)
Under PCX tab
• IP Address = (IP address of virtual/dummy OXE)
• FTP Username & Password
• Accounting Process = Detailed accounting
Under Data Collection tab
• Load System Speed Dial Number = Check
• Load User Alias = Check
• Load Remote User = Check
• Load Service Number = Check
In addition, you can verify availability of TAXA files on your virtual/dummy OXE system by executing the command accview –mtf.
Warm regards,
Zero

Re: Extracting tickets
Hello Zero,
Detailed Accounting and the Data collection parameters are already done. The 'Accounting ticket loading' ticket takes about 9 minutes..bt the Organisation tab in Accouting remains empty, n so r the reports!
So basically Archiving ends up giving me 0 tickets!! wat could the issue be??
Regards,
mia

Re: Extracting tickets
Hi mia,
This is another validation; please look into the following:
A. What are the details of synchronization process pertaining to ‘Load accounting records and PTP counter’? It displays the number of files processed and rejected including the records (tickets) inserted.
B. Does the ‘Last Pooled Accounting File’ shows the last TAXAxxxx.DAT in accview –mtf? Refer on Directory module/System tab/ (your PCX registration) / Data Collection tab/
C. To verify downloaded tickets into database:
• Open the Interactive SQL
• Log-in as DBA; type DBA password (default is AdminNmc)
• In SQL Statements, type SELECT * FROM ticket
• To execute command, click play button or press F5 key

Re: Extracting tickets
Hi mia,
Any update?
Anyways, I can provide a work around process wherein the TAXA files will be uploaded manually.
Procedures:
1. Copy all TAXA files in OXE’s \usr4\ACCOUNT\ (you can use ftp commands or FileZilla application)
2. Rename each file extensions of TAXA files from .DAT to .GZ
3. Uncompress (or unzip) all TAXAxxxx.GZ (you can use ZIP)
4. After the file extractions, rename each file with file extensions as TAXAxxxx.TXT
5. Then, copy-paste the files in the directory path: \4760\data\loader\networknumber=0\
Note: This may take a while, files will be removed automatically.
Though this doesn’t answer your queries, I hope this applies as a work around on your concern.
Best regards,
Zero
