Hi all,
I'm having a site with R9.0 Common hardware. The PMS is Prologic and AHL is TCP. We are using 4645 Voice mail for the guests. When the guest is checked in the voice mail is activated automatically. When the guest picks up the call it says you have messages waiting to consult dial"#43". When i dial it asks for the password of the mailbox whereas i have mentioned in COS no password required. When i try to access it with default password 0000 it says its incorrect password. I even tried the extension number still its not working. Otherwise I have to change the password through Eva_tool. But this has to be done after every check out and check in.
Does anyone know what could be the issue. and why its asking for password even if i have disabled them.
Please help me out and let me know if you need anymore infos.
Thanks
Thanzeel
4645 Voice mail for guest not working
Re: 4645 Voice mail for guest not working
Go applications/Hotel. You will find Voicemail with cod.secret Consult this should be false.

What COS of the 4645 is assigned to the Mailbox? Have you checked auto entry on that COS?

when the check in happens COS 10 is been assigned. does auto entry mean skip password?
Re: 4645 Voice mail for guest not working
Hi Thanzeel
I don't know about R9, but in R9.1 when PMS sends the ticket for check-in and the password is not sent, OXE replies with the password it sets for the room.
I did an OXE R8 where PMS sends password as blank, so the extension remains with the password 0000.
Last month I did an OXE R9.1 and in this case I needed to send a password (in my case 1234) with check-in because, when I sent password as blank, OXE replied with a password.
Although you are trying to use voice mail without password.
Maybe this helps you.
Regards.
