I must add two switches (6602-48) on an existing stack containing 5 switches. I set the two new switches to take respectively the numbers 6 and 7.
I first planned to wire the 2 new SW with stacking cable and then turn on first the 6th and then 7th. Is this the right way? Because I do not want to stop the service of the existing stack.
Thanks to your a comment about this.

Re: 6602 : adding 2 new SW on an existing stack
thank you,
i have another question .... I suppose that the switches must have the same OS version ? So what is the best way to upgrade the 2 new switches with the same version of the existing stack version ?
Thank for your help

Re: 6602 : adding 2 new SW on an existing stack
In stack all modules are synchronized aromatically to the master and get the same SW. In this way you can upgrade new switches, at least within a same SW release;)
Uboot and miniboot you need to upgrade manually.
