show ip dos statistics

Dear people,

I've got this setup a 6850 I have given it the same ip address as my host. Why? Well I'm testing the command "show ip dos statistics". If both machines have the same ip address and I use the command the output should show me that there's a conflict anyway so I was told. My windows machine says that there's a IP conflict, but the 6850 doesn't complain at all. Where did I go wrong any help is welcome.

Hi,
if you have on 6850 an ip interface with the same ip address as a directly attached host you get an info message about duplicate ip in swlog:

........ info duplicate IP address 1.2.3.4 from port 1/1 eth addr 11:a1:b4:64:c7:81
