I have read the TC1664 but I haven't been able to configure the application on my Android, I really need some help in here because I'm really stuck.
Here is what I have done so far:
1.- I have declared a my ic mobile user
2.- I gave this user the "nomadir right" on central services
3.- I have declared my IMEI number on mobility
4.- I have modified the user's password
5.- I have configured the ddns domain on Harware and limits/ LAN IP configuration (I'm using dyndns).
As far as this point, I guess all the OXO's configuration is done, I'm I wrong?
6.- I have downloaded the app for android (My instat communicator R4.1-2.0.28.1)
7.- I have configured the external URL with my dyndns domain and the internal URL with the OXO's LAN ip address. <-- Here is the error, "Can't download the configuration files from the client server". I have tried different ways of configuring this URLs:
* https://xxx.dyndns.org:443/DM and https://101.40.4.244/DM
* https://xxx.dyndns.org/DM and https://101.40.4.244/DM
* xxx.dyndns.org and 101.40.4.244
But no lucky. Can someone please tell me what I'm I missing?
Thanks in advance
regards
I have forgotten, I have a Fortigate 50B as our firewall. Just for test purposes, I have created an open policy, Everything from WAN 2 (internet access) to internal LAN is accepted. With this configuration I can state that this is isn't a firewall problem. (I have also tried with a virtual IP, Everything from WAN 2 with the external IP address = 0.0.0.0 and the port 443, will be mapped to the internal IP address (OXO's IP) = 101.40.4.244 with the port 50443. This second option neither worked.

Re: typical error novice on My IC
I was already able to login with MIC, but I can't make calls neither receive calls.
But, when I have a missed call it is notified by the MIC, the same happens with the mailbox.
I have already activated the mobility and it was automaticly added my cellphone number.
My internet connection is wireless and is 5Mbps. Am I missing something? Do I have to make a specific configuration in order to be able to make calls?
I'm not trying to use the OXO trunks, I just need to call internal numbers through the internet connection using MIC.
Thanks in advance
regards
I forgot to say that I'm using lab licenses, but on the route:
Hardware and limits/Software Key features/My IC Mobile users
I have attached an image of my current activated licenses.

Re: typical error novice on My IC
You can't use a dynamic DNS service...you need a reverse proxy or publish your internal domain to internet...please follow the technical documentation, it is there because of something...you are experimenting and results may be very very variant according to your architecture and network infrastructure.
Try to go to ALU and ask support for this idea you are doing...what do you think they will answer?
Stick to the tested scenarios and we can help on that, on this you are on yourself as this is your experiment which if it works at the end will be very successful.
The API do have a specific way to work not the same as if you use Public IP instead of internal IP...which is the one ICS knows...that why a reverse proxy and SBC are used with Android my friend.

Re: typical error novice on My IC
Thank you very much for your answer cavagnaro. I was finally able make it work with DynDNS, it was a routing problem with my firewall, I just change the default ports of this feature and it worked, but this isn't what I was looking for, I didn't realized until this feature was working that this is a nomadic function, not a VoIP feature. But this was just lab tests so it doesn't matter.
I`m now working with "Open SIP Phone User" on my Android and this seems to be what I was looking for. The feature is working, I can have an extension on my cellphone using my wireless LAN or my 3G mobile. But I would like to ask a question with this, What license do I need in order to make a SIP phone (or a SIP client on my cellphone) work? Is it just the Open SIP Phone User license ? Or do I need an Open SIP Phone User and a normal ereflexe license for IP users ?
Well, thanks one more time in advance
Regards
