Hi !
Tried this , everything tells me that the installation is ok, but when the system reboots, it saids:
- Uncompressing Linux... Ok, booting the kernel.
And nothing more ...
Interesting isnt it.
Thanks for your time.

the other one works as well, you just don't have the output on the vm monitor. You need to use console pipe redirection in this case. search other posts as it is documented.stefanc wrote:Cont .....

Re: OXE Installation on VMware complete_procedure
You need to set the type of installation in omnipcx installer. @stefanc, you will get that message coz your output is redirected to the serial port. blade server installation type in omnipcx installer is the ideal for vmware installation.

Re: OXE Installation on VMware complete_procedure
Hi
I am trying this procedure.
Installation ok but I don't manage to configure the network of my cpu !
When I go in netadmin -m and installation, I never had the question for cpu address... I don't understand.
I used bridged in VMware. (workstation 9)
Tried with 2 differents versions j1410 and j2501 , the same.
Another strange thing, all the information I gave in the menu installation are not taken into account. When I reboot, I still have a hostname with localhost.localdomain etc
Any ideas?

I found the raison.
There is a question about adding the host in the database. And I answered no. That was the problem.
Good guide but I just prefer using blade instead of appliance server. With this choice, you don't have to use named pipe.
