Error declaring a 4645

Post by 20deoctubre »

Hi all... Im trying to declare a 4645 mailbox. I have the correct license for it and I have already checked it with spadmin command.
I have changed the "voice mail dir no", "directory name" and the "voice mail type" options (as suggested in the in a tech note that I have found on the bussines portal). I have a doubt with the "Voice mail CPU name", I don't know what to put in there, I have tried with: CS-2, GD-3, VM4645, etc. No luck.
At the end of all m configuration I have the next error: "Processing failure, object -1: instance (reserved): bad ip address ".
And then I get moved back to the main menu.
I have attached a pdf with images about my configuration and the error, I really hope someone can tell me what I'm doing wrong.

Thanks in advance

From the System Documentation/Voice Mail/Alcatel-Lucent 4645 VMS/Installation procedure/Setting up the Voice Mail Service (non-Duplicated System)
The name of the CPU on which the voice mail will operate.: In this configuration, the name must define the Enterprise CPU (for example: cpu_ent).

Note: This parameter can also be completed with CPU IP address (e.g. 192.168.4.52).
You are supposed to have the name of the host in /etc/hosts file if you run 4645 on stand-alone server or enter your OXE CPU name here.
IP addres also will do the trick.
