Phone compatibility?

Post by alcatel4029 »

Hi,

I have a generic question about Alcatel-Lucent phone / card compatibility as I'm not familiar with Alcatel equipment. Simple question is - is there any difference between 4029 telephone sets? Issue is there is a reseller that is selling new 4029's for $350 / ea, but used they are available for $17/ea. Given the price difference, I would like to purchase used, but I would like to make sure that there are no questions of compatiblity. The only other information I have is that it will be connected to an 8 port SLI card.

Thank you!

Well...are those $17 (¿) working sets? Sometimes they sell burned phones just for exchange pieces. I do remember once that ALU sent us a cargo of sets and they didn't work well as had a bug and we had to return 500 of them at our cost... and ALU sent new ones.
So be sure they are working ones and with warranty of some minimal time in months

SLI card (Station Line Interface) is an analog card and not intended for Digital sets such as the 4029. The card you need to connect to is the UAI.
