renaming or moving to a new server

good day please assist if you can

i need to either rename my server name to comply with our company rules or install a new server running windows7 or server 2008.

where do i get the software to do this? and in a rename will be easier i will do that rather. problem is, if i do a rename on the server, omnivista tels me it cant connect to the server. is there somewhere i can change that in a config file?

The Omnivista depend the name and sufixdns if rename the machine name the application stop.

only the release 5.2 Omnivista is compatible with Windows 7 or Windows 2008 R2.
