How to reset the 4645 voicemail password

Hi guys,

We are using OmniVista 4760i to access OmniPCX Enterprise system where voice mails are setup as 4645 type (Standard). No one knows the password to access voicemail for one of the user extension and we need to reset the password. Can anyone please help how to reset the password on voicemail?

This cannot be done via 4760i, you really have 2 options, remove Voicemail number and recreate which will recreate new voicemail box, or you can Telnet into the PCX and use the Evatool to reset the password.

If you want to delete the voicemailbox, but there are still voicemail messages in it, you cannot delete it (by default).
You need to change a system setting 'allow deletion of non empty voicemail' to TRUE (system\other system param\voicemail param) first.

Best option is to use the Evatool. That way you can only reset the password without losing any voicemail messages.

Hi all
there is a way whith the 4670(i)
change the COS of the mailbox with "read message with no password"
call the mailbox
go to menu "change the password" on the mail box
change back the COS of the mailbox

I am new to this and have been asked to look at the 4760 system.
I have found quite a lot of references to the EVATOOL?
Where can I find it and is there a list of commands that can be used?
