Alcatel 4400 to Cisco via PRI
Hello guys, I am completely new to Alcatel systems and this forum and have problem interconnecting Alcatel and Cisco via PRI.
Alcatel version: R8.0-g1.302 Enterprise CS
OmniVIsta 4760.4.2.10.02
The connection via PRI will be used only for internal calls between the two PBXs. I was able to make some of the configuration and it is working good so far, but the result is I can make successful calls only from Alcatel endpoints to Cisco endpoints. When I try to call Alcatel Endpoint from Cisco, Alcatel returns everytime IE:[08] CAUSE (l=3) 81 81 80 -> [81] UNALLOCATED NUMBER. I am sure that I'm missing some configuration, but I am for first time on OmniVista. For call routing to Cisco I did prefix of type routing with respectively the range I want to dial, its length and the trunk group id through which the call to be routed. What I need to do in order to allow incoming calls via this trunk?
Alcatel numbers: 15xx
Cisco numbers: 28xx
Thank you very much, any help will be highly appreciated.

Re: Alcatel 4400 to Cisco via PRI
Do a T3 trace, did you create correctly network routing prefix?
Re: Alcatel 4400 to Cisco via PRI
For incoming calls you can:
1) manage in TG DID transcoding=false - will be used NPD without DID transcoding. Cisco need to send just internal user number.
2) if you manage in TG DID transcoding=true - so your PBX will use DID translation. In this case you need to check NPD used in TG (TG/TG NPD selection), DID declared in NPD (translator/ ext. dialing plan/ NPD) and rules declared in DID translator.

Re: Alcatel 4400 to Cisco via PRI
DID transcoding under my TG is false. I already tried T3 trace and I saw calling and called number as they should be calling 2822 and called 1525. I will do it once again today and will provide the output.
Thank you

I think I really misconfigured or missed a part of necessary configuration. I haven't configured anything under Network Routing Table. What I saw is that I cannot "Create" new record under NRT menu. I found there 15 records, all with absolutely same configuration, all pointing to ARS 0. I start thinking that I do not know the exact dependencies between Route prefix, TG, NRT and ARS. I tried to change the parameters under one of the NRT records and pointed it to newly created ARS and then under Routing prefix I changed the network number to be the same as the one in NRT. This did not change anything. It looks like the problem is routing related, but I cannot figure it out. Please give some advice how to solve this issue.
Best regards

Re: Alcatel 4400 to Cisco via PRI
ars route list 0 is reserved for internal use : abc_f , npd=33 , trkgp=-1 , route,private -1 etc
nrts are all with abcf_f NPD=11 & ars list -1 except nrt0 has difference in npd=33.(got them since relase 5,now r9.1)
plse poste yourtrkgp config and trgkp npd selection

Re: Alcatel 4400 to Cisco via PRI
I hope - Trunk groups/ Trunk group (local TG parameters) - you have nothing in item "digits to add" and "0" in item "Number of digits unused ISDN"

Re: Alcatel 4400 to Cisco via PRI
@vad - Thanks for pointing that, in fact "Number of digits unused ISDN" was set to 6, but after setting 0, nothing changed.
I am attaching screenshots from my TG configuration.

Re: Alcatel 4400 to Cisco via PRI
why do you use dss1 and not qsig? there are some docs in the www (easy to find with google) that will give a good base for connect an alcatel oxe with cisco cucm.

Re: Alcatel 4400 to Cisco via PRI
TRKGP Public cos =15 ? why , do you assigned it manually or was automaticlly doen by the oxe cos should be =0, check cos =15 if incomming calls are not barred
