Features on an analogue extension

Post by remuk »

Hi Folks,

I hope someone can help me. I've managed to setup an analogue phone with the OmniPCX (great!) but I'm having trouble using features like hold, divert etc on the handset. It obviously doesn't have the same menus/buttons as Alcatel handsets. Can anyone give me a pointer on how to configure these? E.g. we have some 4010 handsets, and when a users dials '**1* on those, that puts a the call on hold. How do I implement something similar for my analogue handsets?

There are obviously limits on what an analog extension can do. Many functions like second call is done by doing a small "click" on the hook of the phone. Others via R key. But again, simple stuff only, can't put a call on hold for example, some features are empowered by using software like A4980 which is part of the ICS suite.
