How to upload R2.1 by replacing existing R3.1 OXO CPU_low mi

Post by Chaminda »

Hi All,

I have a problem with R2.1 software uploading to an existing R3.1 OXO CPU.

Background,
For maintenance purposes I had to uplaod R3.1 (310/020.004)software to original R2.1 OXO CPU. But now I want to reverse the case means,
from R3.1 to R2.1,[/color]
I ve already tried with both options,

1) By using Lola tool
While uploading process it appered following error & abort
"copy file failed"

2) By using PM5 sowtware uploading,
While uploading process it says,
"R3.1 --->R2.1 low migration not allowed".

My understanding is this is due to formatting issues of Flash & HDD

Appreciate if any body could advise me how to do this low migration & how to erase flash memory & format hard disk by lower version.

Thanks,
Chaminda

Hi,

the only way i see doing this, is using lola. cause first thing lola does, is formatting flash and hd. this should work. perhaps you could try that again.

Hi,

Thanks for your answer. Is there any specific proceedure to format hd & flash. Because even after trying 5 times it failed.
I ve followed, the same proceedure for uploading software in Lola mode.
Issue I found was it skips the formating process automatically & trying to transfer files.

Is this because of trying to format higher linux version by a lower version ?

If so what is the solution ?

Thanks,

May be you have problem with hard disk. Try to change hard disk on other one. I have made downgrade some times from R6 to R5, and from R5 to R4 without problem (with LoLa).

Hi,

Thank you again for your reply.

You are correct. It works for R5 to R4. But not for R 3.2 to R2.1
I ve already changed the hard disk & checked. But problem remains same.

Kindly update me if any body aware with the issue.

Thanks,
Chaminda Perera.

I have made tests by your request. First, I install R310/043.001 on CPU, using LoLa 300.10.1. Then, I Install R210/080.001 on this CPU by LoLa without problem. With formatting flash and HD. I use 20 Gb Toshiba HD. I can send you log file, If you want. Sorry, but I don't understand your problem. And what do you mean - R3.2? I know only R3.1.
What size of HD you have?

Hi,
I think this is problem with your laptop. I had same problem - and it was Windows problem. Do you have Win XP? - profesionall or home edition? You can try to make access to folder with software and LOLA files.

Also check if your software is complete (missing archives etc). Also when selecting packeges to install in LoLa do not select VoIP and Internet packages. You may install them later on.
