DTMF Digits reception problem in Automated attendant.

Hi ,

I have a site with OXE , crystal hardware, R 10.
the problem there i am experiencing is that the DTMF digits dialled by an external caller are not being recognized by the PABX randomly... this is creating a big problem on the customer site.

It is a multi-level AA ,, so when the user has only to dial 1 digit to reach the following menu,, it is OK ,, because if the digit is not recognised by the PABX, the Voice guide , keeps on playing,, so the caller can press it second time..., third ........

but the main issue arises when the caller reaches the leaf to dial an extension number... as soon as the first digit is recieved by the PABX, the VG stops playing and the system waits for the rest of the digits,,, now if any one of the digits is missed by PABX of the 4 digit extn numbr,, the system keeps on waiting for it... which results in the angriness of the customer saying that AA is not working...

Since , it is random,,, it is a chaotic situation... because sometimes it dials successfully and sometimes not...

This is a serious issue at the site, please come up with any suggestions you people have that i cna try and resolve this issue...

AA is done on 4645?

the type of the trunk is analog and the boards is NDDI2-2 ,
we have a software license for auto mated attendant , multiple level.

Hope this isn't related to same trunks you have already posted about...right? As any support guy would know...one problem at the time, beginning with the lower layer first...

I'm so sorry , may be I did not describe the problem well , so might got it in by a wrong nevertheless , it is a problem and also another guy posted it before , Could you please assist me to solve this problem?

He mentioned he uses analog trunks, but he didn't answer what AA he is configuring.

Is your AA configured under applications --> automated attendant? Or 4645 VM automated attendand?
If it is 4645 VM automated attendant, how is your 4645? VPU6 board? External 4645?

You need to provide us some informations. I am not criticising you, but we don't have crystal balls. It depends on your hardware the way DTMF is recognized by your AA.
It also depends on DTMF level. If you receive an external call and the caller press any digit, is the DTMF level good?

I'm so sorry for not providing you the required information ,
I configured AA under automated attendant application , Not voice mail,
referring to DTMF as I reported , its random sometimes working fine and others not working .

You mentioned that the AA depends on the DTMF level , the DTMF level , As I provided some times working fine and others not working ,
How can I , Enhance the DTMF to good level

again use analog set to test the dtmf .make some call between 2 analog llines not connected to pabx( NO nddi Nor AA) sets and see if dtmf are well sent and well received
