Doorphone with OXO (no calltone)

Dear All,

We have 2 OXO's in our company, both sites have an intercom at the entrance which can be used by visitors before opening hours. In this wy we can open door by DTMF code.

Setup works as follows:

1 Vistor presses button on doorphone/intercom
2 visitor hears only a beep
3 Internally phone is ringing at secretary desk
4 Visitor is not hearing the calltone
5 Secretary answers call, and talks to visitor
6 Secretary presses DTMF code to open door
7 Visitor enters building

However there is one issue with OXO and doorphone

1 Vistor presses button on doorphone/intercom
2 visitor hears only a beep
3 Internally phone is ringing at secretary desk
4 Visitor is not hearing the calltone
5 Visitor presses button again because they expect that there must be a call/warntone
6 Connection is lost with internal phone at secretary desk

Is it possible the generate a call/warntone when using a doorphone in combination with OXO. I can't find any option in OMC to set tis up, or I'm not looking in the right place

This was working with same doorphone/intercom in our ols PABX which was a Tadiran PABX.

It's an analogue Robin doorphone which is connected to an analogue port (expansion board) in our OXO

By Analogue do you mean analogue extension (SLI card) or public access (APA card)???

In case it is connected to SLI card you should hear ringback tone in the doorphone, as if you were calling from a analogue regular phone.

Yes, I mean an analogue extension (SLI card) which we have 2 in our PABX SLI4 and SLI8.

But we are not hearing the ringback tone in the doorphone, and thats the issue. Because they don't hear the ringback they press the button again hence breaking the connection.

Dear All,

The issue has been solved, we found out that you have setup the doorphone/intercom as a "normal" under misc. -> Special Functions instead of the expected "doorphone".

Strange that you can't configure a doorphone as doorphone with an Alcatel PABX.
