external caller -> incoming greeting -> external caller doesnt work
Hi,
I have a configuration issue.
on our OXE system. we want to configure the following.
if sombody calls in to a specific number during th day. they need to be transfred to the reception and some other numbers ( normal entity call )
yet, during the night, thy first need to be transferred to an incoming greeting guid.
and afterwards need to be transfered offsite to another extrnal number.
the reciever should at this moment see the callers number and not the PBX his number.
so for testing purposes I took an external number, coupled it to a virtual number 666. that is in inmediate forward to my cellphone.
so caller calls External number -> virtual number -> inmediate forward -> cellphone
First it didnt work ( untill I changed the COS 5 issue and some other stuff. )
second problem was that it didnt show the callers number on my cellphone but the numbr of the PBX.
got it fixed thanks to this.

now I try to do the same but this time with an incoming greeting guide in between it.
so caller calls External number -> incoming greeting guide -> virtual number -> inmediate forward -> cellphone
when I do this, I can hear the incoming greeting guide, afterwards it starts calling again. yet my cellphone isnt ringing.
it seems that if I go through an incoming greeting guide, I can not route to an external number anymore.
Anyone has an idea how can solve this problem ?

Re: external caller -> incoming greeting -> external caller doesnt work
If you use caller calls External number -> virtual number -> inmediate forward -> cellphone - this chain works?

Re: external caller -> incoming greeting -> external caller doesnt work
yes, without the incoming greeting guide it works flawlesly.
when I try it with the greeting guide, it looks like the call is not able to call outside. so its ringing ( somewhere) ,.... then after 30 seconds, it follows the entity day/ night time mode.

Yes, When I do that the chain works.
but if I do the 1 with the incoming greeting guide.
you first get the greeting guide, then you can hear the central calling something in the central. but the cellphone wont ring.
then after 30 seconds, the call falls over on the entity cascade ( day/night ).

Re: external caller -> incoming greeting -> external caller doesnt work
May be you can (if you have licenses) - use "remote extension" (cellular client) feature? Remote extension - specific INTERNAL user with associated EXTERNAL number.
When you call this user - external set ring. Can be used in Hunt Group, use multi-line/ supervision.

Re: external caller -> incoming greeting -> external caller doesnt work
I understand what you mean. But in this case its
not really to ring a cellphone. Thats just for testing.
This is used for a part of the company.
at night the owner should get a message that they are closed and if its really important get tranfered off site to a 911 ( emergency ) type of number.
ofcours this 911 service needs to be able to see the callers number. So that they can respond if the person needs help....

Re: external caller -> incoming greeting -> external caller doesnt work
I'm not sure, that after OXE answer (ncoming greeting guide) you can send CALLING NUMBER of initial caller.
In my country usually not possible to send (during outgoing call) calling number not from PBX range.

Re: external caller -> incoming greeting -> external caller doesnt work
thats actually a good call.
by giving a message the isdn thinks the reciever picked up the horn.
so the next cal going out is another call. so he doesnt do the clip translation .....

hi ,
you can check to Redirecting number used(it can be tru) under the system->-> Descend hierarchy --> Descend hierarchy -External Signaling Parameters-Redirecting number used
after you must create new npd after system->-> Descend hierarchy --> Descend hierarchy -External Signaling Parameters-NPD for external forward(you must write here new npd )
If you do not still you need to activate the service providers by

Re: external caller -> incoming greeting -> external caller doesnt work
This is not forward or redirection (from external caller point of view) - PBX answer and call another user (internal or external).
