you can connect to the system with FTP tool and go to /usr3/mao.

From there, download the xxxxxxxx.zip file on to your laptop.

Open the zip file and you should find the ******.sw4760 in there somewhere.

First backup the OPS files via swinst (swinst, password, option 2, option 5, option 1 (for Linux))

Perform the following:

On the PC, go to Start/Run...
Type in cmd
on DOS prompt, note the address on the left (example: L:\> means that the file will be stored in my L drive)
Type in ftp <ip@ of CPU>, so I would type in ftp 10.10.1.1
enter the user required for ftp (in other words, mtcl login)
Then enter the password for mtcl account
Then type in cd /usr4/BACKUP/OPS
then type in bin
Then type in 'get *.sw4760'
The system will then send the file to the location of the cmd where you first noted (remember mine was the L drive)
Then type in quit. This will end the session
Then go to the location and your file will be stored there.

I think you mean that: "By connecting to CPU via a 56k modem, can I download the files from CPU?"

All the answers following were for accessing via Ethernet. So this is not what you mean. And I don't know the answer too.

Hi. Look at the zip file in /usr4/BACKUP/OPS or type cdmao command and lock for thw *.zip file. An other opction is to download the file from the Bussiness Partner Web Site, there you have everything (ask pre-sale or sales people). Regards.

The terminal programe should support kermit protocol (for example, hyper
terminal in windows).
1. go to the directory where store the file. for example:
/usr4/BACKUP/OPS
2、use command: xa001001>gkermit -s *.*
3. In the terminal program: Transfer-->Receive file, in the pop up window,
select the protocol as kermit.
Then we can received the files to our PC.
