I can't even find the server to connect to. So you're already one step in front of me ;-))

Are we running the same version?

Mine is:
OminVista:
Server: 4760.3.0.16.00
Client: 4760.3.0.16.00
SQL Anywhere Studio:
Version 8.0.2
38120-01-0802-01
October 2002

My Service in Sybase Central is called: nmc50 and has the following configuration:
"c:\Programme\Sybase\SQL Anywhere 8\win32\dbsrv8.exe"
-ti 0 -m -c 64M -ch 1000M -sb 0 -x tcpip(Port=30011) -n ServerName "c:\programme\4760\data\nmc5.db"

Make sure you use nmc5 as database name and not nmc50

I can feel well with you, it took me some hours to get where I am.
And again I still cannot connect through Sybase own Interactive SQL only with sqlBrowser (which is a very simple prog to install and to run, most probably even if you do not read German)

over here we have:

Server: 4760.4.0.11.01
Client: 4760.4.0.11.01

Interactive SQL Version 9.0.2n build 2451

It drives me crazy ....

woehoe, I have done it ...

missing part: you need to specify the startline when specifying the ODBC-connection: in our case "c:\Program Files\Sybase\SQL Anywhere 9\win32\dbsrv9.exe" or the 'file name' of the service properties in the Sybase Central

Egidio thanks for the help.

Yes, even with Sybase Central and Interactive SQL I can work remote now.

Just use the odbc-connection, instead of specifying your connection in Sybase Central and ISQL.
